Common causes:
- A clogged filter or iced-over coil
- Low refrigerant from a small leak
- A failed capacitor on the outdoor unit
Check the filter and breaker first. If it's still warm, shut it off so the coil can thaw and book a visit.

How often should I service my system?
Twice a year is ideal: cooling in spring, heating in fall. Heat pumps do both jobs, so they benefit most from regular care.
Repair or replace?
If repairs are frequent, the system is older or some rooms never feel right, replacement may make sense. We'll lay out both paths honestly.
Is a heat pump right for my climate?
Modern cold-climate heat pumps work well in most areas. We'll look at your home and tell you if a backup heat source is worth keeping.
How often should I change my filter?
Every one to three months for most homes, more often with pets or allergies. We'll show you where it goes and which size you need.
Can you fix one room that's always too hot?
Usually. We check ducts and airflow first; a ductless mini-split is a great fix when the ducts can't reach.
