The café

A green door, a lot of plants.

Little Fern is a small neighborhood café on the corner of the park. Forty-something plants, one very old espresso machine and a kitchen that cooks breakfast and lunch from scratch every day.

The menu is short on purpose. Specials go up on the fridge each morning, written on magnets, and come down when they sell out. If you see something you like, don't wait.

The room

Sunlight until four o'clock.

Big south-facing windows, a long shared table, armchairs in the corner and a little shelf of books to borrow. Bring a friend, a laptop or nothing at all.

Catering for small groups

Office breakfasts, baby showers, book clubs and backyard birthdays. Platters of toast, bowls, cakes and a big jug of cold brew, ready to pick up. Tell us about your plans and we'll put a menu together.

Do I need to book?

No, it's first come, first served. Weekend mornings get busy, so come early or come hungry and patient.

Do you have vegan and gluten-free options?

Plenty. Look for the V and GF on the back of each fridge magnet, or ask us.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are welcome on the patio, with a water bowl waiting.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes, though on weekend mornings we ask laptop users to share the long table.
