An actor’s site launches quickly when your reel is hosted and your headshots and credits are current. Casting teams skim, so the first screen needs the reel and a way to reach you.
How the launch unfolds
Day 1-2: You send your reel link, headshots, credits and contact details, and we outline the home, reel, headshots, credits and contact pages.
Week 1: We build the pages, embed your reel, size your images and format your credits.
Week 2: You review on a phone, we adjust the order and wording, and we test the contact route.
Launch: We publish, check mobile views and give you notes on updating the reel and credits.
What to gather before you start
- ✓Your reel as a hosted video link — a short, current edit, with your best work in the first moments
- ✓Current headshots — images that look like you today, in the range of looks you are cast for
- ✓Your credits — film, television, theater and training, in the order you want them shown
- ✓Representation and contact preferences — agency details and how you want inquiries to reach you
- ✓A short bio — a few lines in your own voice, kept simple
The first month after launch
In the first month, update credits as you book work and refresh the reel when you have new material. Check that your contact route works and update your headshots when your look changes. Keep the home page pointing to the current reel as pilot and festival seasons approach.
Mistakes to avoid at launch
- ✓Burying the reel — casting teams skim and leave if they cannot find it quickly
- ✓Using outdated headshots — you may be considered for roles that do not match how you look now
- ✓Omitting contact information — opportunities cannot reach you
