Launching an after-school program site is mostly gathering the answers parents ask before they ever visit. Once your schedule, staff and pickup rules are written down, the build moves quickly.
How the launch unfolds
Day 1-2: You share your schedule, ages served, staff details and pickup process, and we confirm the five pages and the enrollment path.
Week 1: We write and lay out the home, schedule, staff and enrollment pages, then send a first preview for you to read on your phone.
Week 2: You correct anything that is off, approve photo choices you have permission to show, and we connect your enrollment tool or form.
Launch: We test the form, check the pages on a phone and go live; a faster launch is possible for eligible projects with content ready.
What to gather before you start
- ✓Weekly schedule — Parents want to picture a Tuesday at 3:30, so a simple sample day does more than a list of activity names
- ✓Ages and group sizes — Families need to know right away whether their child belongs, and ratios help them feel comfortable
- ✓Staff names and roles — Short bios with first names and a line about background show parents who is actually watching their child
- ✓Pickup and sign-out process — Clear rules about who may collect a child reduce friction and prevent awkward first-week conversations
- ✓Enrollment steps and dates — Term start dates, any waitlist and the way to request a spot should be written plainly in order
The first month after launch
In the first month, check that the form reaches the right person and confirm every date still holds. Add photos of the room and materials only where permission is on file, and update the schedule if activities rotate. If families praise the program, you can invite them to share feedback through channels you control, and review how many enrollment questions repeat so you can answer them on the page.
Mistakes to avoid at launch
- ✓Leaving out a sample schedule — parents cannot picture the day and often assume it is unstructured
- ✓Burying the pickup rules — the first phone call becomes a debate about who can collect which child
- ✓Using photos without permission — a family objects and the whole page has to come down quickly
