Launching an arts nonprofit site starts with the season: what is on, when and how to get a seat or a spot. Once that is clear, support and about pages are simple to add.
How the launch unfolds
Day 1-2: You send the season, links, class details and sponsor information, and we confirm the page plan.
Week 1: We build the home page featuring the season, then events, classes, support and about pages, and share a preview.
Week 2: You check dates, test the ticket and sign-up links and approve captions and credits.
Launch: We review everything on a phone and publish; a 48-hour launch is possible for eligible projects with content ready.
What to gather before you start
- ✓Season calendar — Dates, venues and short descriptions for the next several months of events, so visitors can plan
- ✓Ticket and registration links — The tools you already use, tested before they go on the page
- ✓Class information — Age groups, session dates and how families sign up, written plainly
- ✓Sponsor and donor levels — Names you have permission to show and the ways a supporter can give
- ✓Photos with captions — Clear images of performances and classes, with credits and permissions on file
The first month after launch
In the first month, update the events page as dates firm up and remove past shows promptly. Test ticket and class links again after any tool change, add fresh photos from rehearsals or classes where permissions exist, and update sponsor recognition when new supporters join. Point your newsletter and social posts to the site so people have one place to look.
Mistakes to avoid at launch
- ✓Publishing a calendar nobody can read — ticket buyers give up and call or skip it
- ✓Using photos without captions — visitors lack context and miss the story of the work
- ✓Skipping a sponsor page — supporters feel unseen and potential sponsors find no path
