Launching a bed and breakfast site goes smoothly once the rooms, rates structure and photos are sorted. Most delays come from waiting on pictures or a policy nobody has written down yet.
How the launch unfolds
Day 1-2: you send rooms, rates structure and photos, and we map the five pages and confirm how guests will book
Week 1: we draft the home page, rooms and breakfast copy, and you check details like bed types and quiet hours
Week 2: the local guide and booking page come together, and we test the booking link on a phone
Launch: we connect your domain, go through a final checklist with you and publish
What to gather before you start
- ✓Room photos — wide, bright shots of each room and the bathroom let guests picture the stay before they ask
- ✓Rates structure — a clear idea of weekday, weekend and holiday pricing keeps the rooms page honest
- ✓Policies — check-in times, cancellation, pets and children, written plainly, head off most confused emails
- ✓Breakfast details — what is served and any dietary notes are a real reason people pick you
- ✓Local favorites — your short list of nearby restaurants and sights becomes the guide page
The first month after launch
In the first month, add real photos of the current season, such as the porch in fall or the dining table set for breakfast. Ask past guests for reviews through the channels you already use, and update hours, minimum stays and special weekends. A quick monthly look at your policies keeps them accurate.
Mistakes to avoid at launch
- ✓Using too few photos — guests scroll past an inn they cannot picture and book somewhere that shows more
- ✓Leaving policies out — guests email the same questions again and again, or arrive surprised by rules
- ✓Skipping a direct booking path — you keep paying platform fees on stays guests would have booked with you
