A booster club site goes live fastest when one volunteer gathers the season schedule, sponsor levels and fundraiser list into a single document. Parents and fans want one dependable place to look, so accuracy matters more than polish. Because the site is about student programs, decide early which photos and names you are comfortable sharing.
How the launch unfolds
Day 1-2: You send the schedule, fundraisers and sponsor levels, and we outline a home page that shows the next game and the current fundraiser together.
Week 1: We write the fundraisers and sponsors pages, and your board contact confirms tiers, deadlines and wording.
Week 2: We build the volunteer page and contact form, connect the give button and test both on a phone.
Launch: We point your domain, do a final review with the board contact and publish.
What to gather before you start
- ✓Season calendar — games, banquets, team photo day and fundraiser dates, with home and away noted where useful
- ✓Fundraiser list — each drive with its dates, what it supports and how families and neighbors can take part
- ✓Sponsor levels — tiers, what each sponsor receives and when banners or program ads are due
- ✓Volunteer roles — concessions, gate, setup and banquet help, with how to sign up
- ✓Giving tool — the donation or payment link the club already uses, or a Square setup we help connect
The first month after launch
In the first month, refresh the schedule weekly and add game-day photos only with the permissions your school or league requires. Thank sponsors on their page as each one signs on, and share the site link with parents through the club’s usual channels. As the season ends, update the page for the banquet and the next pre-season fundraiser. At season’s end, archive the fundraiser results only in the terms your board approves, and move the next season’s dates into place so the site never looks abandoned between seasons. Thank volunteers on the volunteer page if they agree to be named, and keep concession and gate shift sign-ups current through playoffs.
Mistakes to avoid at launch
- ✓Skipping the sponsor page — local businesses that want to help have no easy way to sign up
- ✓Leaving a stale schedule up — parents show up at the wrong field and stop trusting the site
- ✓Posting student photos without permission — families are upset and the club has to pull images in a hurry
