Launching a comedian’s site goes fastest when your best clip and your next few dates are picked before building starts. The page structure is small, so the real work is choosing what a booker should see in the first ten seconds.
How the launch unfolds
Day 1-2: You send clips, bio and dates, and we sort them into the home, shows, about and booking pages while you answer any questions on content level.
Week 1: A first version is ready for you to look through, and your job is to check dates, names and the spelling of venues.
Week 2: We adjust the order of clips, tighten the booking form wording and connect any ticket link you want to feature.
Launch: Once you approve, the site goes live, and a 48-hour launch is possible for eligible projects with content ready.
What to gather before you start
- ✓One best clip and two backups — The top clip becomes the first thing on the home page, so choosing it deliberately matters more than uploading everything.
- ✓A current dates list — Include city, venue and ticket link where one exists, so visitors can act on a date instead of just reading it.
- ✓Show types and content notes — Say whether you do clean sets, headline sets or hosting, because bookers screen on that before they ever write to you.
- ✓A short bio you could read aloud — Two or three sentences in your own voice work better than a résumé list, and they get quoted on posters.
- ✓Booking details you will actually answer — Decide your usual lead time, travel range and what you need from a buyer before you will quote.
The first month after launch
In the first month, replace any weak clip with a fresh set from a recent room and keep your dates current weekly. Ask the hosts and bookers you have worked with to say something about the night in their own words through whatever channel they prefer, and add real photos from actual shows as you collect them. Update the page whenever festival or holiday-party booking season approaches.
Mistakes to avoid at launch
- ✓Launching with a clip that is unclear on sound — A booker who cannot hear the jokes moves on after seconds, so check the audio before it is the first thing they play.
- ✓Leaving a past date at the top of the list — Expired shows suggest you are not working, which undercuts the whole page.
- ✓Writing a booking form with no way to name the date — Inquiries then arrive without the one detail needed to reply, and you spend the week chasing it.
