A theater site is best launched a few weeks before opening night, so tickets and audition information are ready when people start looking. Your next production is the anchor around which everything else is built.
How the launch unfolds
Day 1-2: You send the next show details, ticket path and season list, and we place the current production at the top of the home page.
Week 1: We build the season, tickets and get-involved pages and check each link.
Week 2: You review dates and wording and test the ticket button on a phone.
Launch: The site goes live, and a 48-hour launch is possible for eligible projects with content ready.
What to gather before you start
- ✓Current production details — Title, dates, venue, running time and a short synopsis that a patron can scan quickly.
- ✓Ticket link or method — The exact path to buy or reserve, tested before it goes live.
- ✓Audition and volunteer information — Dates, roles and who to contact, so the get-involved page works from day one.
- ✓Production photos — Rehearsal or past-show images show a real, working company.
- ✓Mission and history — A paragraph or two for the about page explaining who you are and why you stage shows.
The first month after launch
In the first month, update the home page for the current show, post audition notices well ahead of dates and add a few rehearsal photos. Check ticket links after every new production, and refresh volunteer needs. Ask your audience to share thoughts through the usual channels at the venue or your own social pages.
Mistakes to avoid at launch
- ✓Hiding the ticket link — patrons give up and the house stays emptier than it should
- ✓Leaving last season on the home page — visitors assume the company has closed
- ✓No audition information — potential cast members move on to another group
