A dry cleaning site is ready to launch once someone could learn your hours, services and pickup details in under a minute. The checklist is short, which means launching is usually quick if the details are accurate.
How the launch unfolds
Day 1-2: You send hours, services and special-care notes, and we sketch the home, services, special-care and delivery pages.
Week 1: A first version arrives for you to check every hour and service name against what the counter staff actually tell people.
Week 2: We refine the delivery wording, add any alteration details and test the contact form.
Launch: After approval the site goes live, and a 48-hour launch is possible for eligible projects with content ready.
What to gather before you start
- ✓Hours and holiday closures — Customers check hours before making a trip, and a wrong closing time costs you a visit and a little goodwill.
- ✓A services list with plain names — Say shirts, suits, comforters and alterations in the words a customer would use, not trade terms.
- ✓Special-item notes — Describe how you take in gowns, leather and heirloom pieces so people know to ask rather than guess.
- ✓Delivery area and schedule — If you have routes, list the neighborhoods and days, and note any cutoff time for same-day jobs.
- ✓Typical turnaround times — Even a general sense, such as how long standard orders take, answers a very common call.
The first month after launch
In the first month, update hours for any holiday closures and add a few real photos of the shop and finished garments. Ask regular customers whether they would share a note about their experience through a channel they already use. Before wedding season and year-end events, refresh the special-care page so people see the timing you recommend.
Mistakes to avoid at launch
- ✓Burying hours in a paragraph — Customers give up looking and call instead, which pulls your counter staff away from people in front of them.
- ✓Skipping the special-care page — Higher-value jobs like gowns go to a competitor that clearly looks ready for them.
- ✓Leaving delivery vague — People assume you do not come to their street and never ask.
