A wedding photographer’s site launches best when you have picked your strongest full weddings and written down how coverage, delivery and deposits work. Everything else is arranging those images with care.
How the launch unfolds
Day 1-2: You send your galleries, packages, delivery details and areas, and we outline the home, portfolio, packages, about and inquiry pages.
Week 1: We select and size images, build the portfolio and write the package descriptions.
Week 2: You review on a phone, we tune the order of images and test the inquiry form with a sample date.
Launch: We publish, check speed and mobile layout, and give you notes on adding new weddings after each season.
What to gather before you start
- ✓Five to eight of your best weddings — complete stories, not single images, so couples see how a whole day looks
- ✓A written outline of each package — hours of coverage, what is delivered and any extras
- ✓Your delivery timeline — when couples can expect previews and the full gallery
- ✓Areas you serve and travel policy — so out-of-town couples know whether to ask
- ✓How you take deposits and sign contracts — the tools you already use, so we can describe the next step accurately
The first month after launch
In the first month, add a recent wedding, with the couple’s permission, and refresh your home page images. Respond to inquiries promptly, since couples often contact several photographers, and keep your packages and availability notes accurate for the coming year.
Mistakes to avoid at launch
- ✓Posting hundreds of images on one page — it loads slowly and no single wedding gets the attention it deserves
- ✓Skipping a way to check a date — couples who cannot see availability contact the next photographer on their list
- ✓Hiding delivery details — unanswered questions about timing keep couples from reaching out
One example of what your site could look like
This is one sample we designed. Yours is built around your business, your photos and your words, and we have more examples if you want to compare directions.
What it costs
