The person looking for a pantry on a Tuesday night and the person ready to start a monthly gift can be the same household in different years. A food bank site has to be kind to both. The order matters: where and when to get food comes first, and giving sits beside it, clear but not competing.
Let the need lead, then explain the gift
A donor deciding on a monthly gift wants to know one thing: what does this do? You supply the answer in your own terms, such as "a monthly gift keeps the pantry stocked through the lean weeks," and we place it right next to the donate button. We connect your existing donation platform for the actual gift, which also handles receipts and card details.
We do not invent figures, so any "your gift provides" statement comes from you, checked against what you can stand behind.
What the give page should include
- ✓Monthly option shown first — with one-time giving alongside it
- ✓Plain statement of use — written by you, in a sentence or two
- ✓Food and item donations — what you accept, where and when
- ✓Corporate and food drive info — a short route for groups
- ✓Receipt note — what the donor will receive from the platform
Keep the help page honest and current
Nothing damages trust faster than a pantry schedule that is out of date. We build the get-food page with a visible "updated on" line, because neighbors will plan transportation around it. Holiday closures and distribution changes go in a banner on the home page so nobody travels for nothing.
Language access matters too. If you serve Spanish-speaking neighbors, a short Spanish version of the key facts goes a long way, and our team can write it with you.
Pages worth having
- ✓Get food — locations, days, hours and what to bring
- ✓Give — monthly, one-time and food donations
- ✓Volunteer — shifts, ages and how to sign up
- ✓Partners and food drives — for churches, schools and businesses
- ✓About — who runs the food bank and where it operates
What to expect, honestly
- ✓We link your donation platform — gifts, receipts and card handling happen there
- ✓We do not promise fundraising results — the page makes giving clear, nothing more
- ✓Eligibility rules are yours — we publish what you tell us
