Last checked: October 12, 2026. What follows about CalTech Web comes from its homepage and its web design pricing page as published on that date. Links are at the bottom.
CalTech Web and our team look alike from a distance: a small business gets a designed site, hosting and help with changes, without learning any software. Up close, the money works differently, and so does the editing allowance. Those two differences decide which one makes sense for you.
How CalTech Web describes its service
CalTech Web sells a single plan, which it calls the All-Inclusive Plan, at $99/month with no setup fee and no long-term contract. Its pricing page lists custom design, unlimited content updates requested by email, free redesigns, hosting, an SSL certificate, regular backups, basic on-page SEO, domain registration and support. It says sites typically launch in five to seven business days after a call or a contact form, with your approval before going live.
It also describes a 30-day refund window in which you keep the website and design. The pages we read did not explain what happens to the site files if you cancel later on, so that is a question to ask before signing.
Where CalTech Web is the better fit
- ✓You change content constantly — weekly menus, sermon notes or event lists suit an unlimited-updates plan
- ✓You want nothing up front — the build is folded into the monthly fee
- ✓You expect periodic redesigns — the plan lists free redesigns on request
- ✓You want the domain handled too — domain registration is listed among the inclusions
How our arrangement is different
We charge for the build once. The Launch Website is $399 for up to 5 pages, Business Plus is $989 for up to 20 pages, and larger plans reach up to 300 pages. Every build starts with a consultation and includes the copy we write, mobile-friendly design, a contact form, essential search setup and ten revision rounds. For eligible small projects with content ready, launch can happen in as little as 48 hours.
After launch, Website Care at $30/month includes up to 30 minutes of small edits each month alongside hosting and backups. That allowance fits owners who update hours, prices or a few photos now and then. It is not an unlimited plan, and we would rather say so here than surprise you.
How to compare the two over time
- ✓Count your real edits — look back at the last six months and note how often something on your site needed changing
- ✓Pick a time frame — compare total spending over the years you expect to keep the site
- ✓Ask about leaving — find out what you take with you, in files and domain, if you cancel
- ✓Check what copy is included — ask who writes the words on each page
Three categories, so the comparison is fair
A DIY builder hands you software and leaves the work to you. A professional build service designs a site and hands it over, after which edits are your job or billed by the hour. A managed service builds the site and keeps it running and updated for a monthly fee. CalTech Web and Cheap Cheap Websites are both managed services; the difference lies in whether the build is bundled into the monthly fee or paid separately.
Our honest take
If your website changes every week and you would rather never write a large check, CalTech Web’s single monthly plan is designed for exactly that owner. If your site changes now and then, you want a written consultation and several rounds of copy review, or you want Spanish-language service, our one-time build with $30 monthly care is usually the steadier fit.

What to expect, honestly
- ✓We are not CalTech Web — confirm its current plan, refund terms and cancellation details on its own pages
- ✓Our edit allowance has a limit — Website Care covers up to 30 minutes of small edits a month
- ✓Bigger additions are quoted — new pages beyond your plan are scoped before work starts

What it costs
Websites are priced one-time by size, plus Website Care at $30/month for hosting, HTTPS, backups, weekly checks and A/B testing. Every package includes a consultation, mobile-friendly design, copy we write for you, a contact form, essential search setup and 10 revision rounds. Monthly SEO is an optional add-on when you are ready for it.
Optional add-ons, billed separately
The prices above are for your website. These two are separate monthly products you can add now or later. Neither is part of the website price.
