Last checked: October 12, 2026. Details about GoDaddy below come from its Website Design Services page and Website Builder page on that date; links are at the bottom.
This page is for owners who have already decided not to build the site themselves. GoDaddy belongs on your list because its team really does design and build custom sites, so this compares two hired options, not a tool and a person.
How GoDaddy’s design service works
According to its page, the process starts with a discovery consultation with a web design specialist. You share logos, photos and text, or rely on the copywriting included in every plan. Designers build the layout while copywriters write the content, you review a first draft and give feedback, and the team publishes after your final approval. GoDaddy says sites are built on WordPress, that it can redesign and migrate an existing site, and that projects typically take around six to eight weeks. Progress, content and feedback run through a dashboard called the Website Design Hub.
Plans range from a standard site to options with booking features and a WooCommerce online store. After launch, GoDaddy says you can edit the site yourself in your account or subscribe to its own maintenance plan.
Where GoDaddy’s service is the better fit
- ✓You want WordPress — and the freedom to log in and edit pages yourself later
- ✓You need a real online store — GoDaddy lists a WooCommerce store plan with products, shipping methods and tax handling
- ✓You live in one account — domain, email, hosting and marketing services all at the same company
- ✓You want add-on marketing — GoDaddy also sells SEO and digital marketing services
How our service is different
We build and manage the whole website for small businesses that want one small team on it: domain setup in your name, hosting, design, copy written for you and care after launch. Every package includes a consultation, mobile-friendly design, a contact form, essential search setup and ten revision rounds. The Launch Website is $399 for up to 5 pages, and larger plans cover up to 300 pages.
After launch, Website Care at $30/month covers managed hosting, HTTPS, backups, uptime checks, weekly performance checks, A/B testing and up to 30 minutes of small edits each month. You send a message; we make the change. Monthly SEO is an optional add-on, with no promise of rankings. Se habla español.
Questions to put to both of us
- ✓How many revision rounds — and what counts as one round
- ✓Who makes edits after launch — you in a dashboard, or the team by request
- ✓What platform is it on — and what that means if you ever leave
- ✓Who holds the domain — it should be registered in your name either way
- ✓What is the realistic timeline — and what you must deliver to keep it on track
The tradeoff in one paragraph
GoDaddy’s service suits an owner who wants a WordPress site, may sell many products online and expects to log in and make changes personally. Ours suits an owner who would rather never log in at all, wants plenty of review rounds before launch and wants small edits handled by the same people who built the site. For eligible projects with content ready and a small scope, we can launch in as little as 48 hours; larger builds take longer.
What to have ready for either one
Whichever you choose, the consultation goes faster if you bring the same things: your business name and domain, a list of services with a sentence on each, the area you serve, a few photos of real work, your logo if you have one, and two or three websites you like.

What to expect, honestly
- ✓We do not build full online stores — we build catalog and order-request pages and connect the store tool you use
- ✓We do not edit inside GoDaddy or WordPress — we build on our own managed hosting
- ✓Plans change — check GoDaddy’s page for its current plans and prices
