Your free 5-page website
What you offer, who it is for, and how to join, in short plain sentences with one clear next step for each program.
Eligibility in plain words, what to bring, and a simple request form. Alternative ways to reach you are explained for people who cannot use a form.
A short, friendly overview of your advocacy work with links to the official sources you already trust.
Accessible event details: venue access, interpreters, quiet rooms and how to ask for accommodations.
Who you are, how to volunteer, how to give, and how families, caregivers and self-advocates can join.
What a disability services website has to do
The people who visit your site may be using a screen reader, magnification, voice control or a phone with one hand. Caregivers and family members also search, often while managing a crisis. They need to find a service, a form or a person quickly.
Common searches include "disability support services near me", "respite care for adults with disabilities" or "advocacy help for special education". Your homepage should state who you serve and what to do next within the first screen.
Accessibility is part of the job
For this group, an inaccessible site sends the wrong message. We build with readable text size, strong color contrast, clear headings, descriptive link text and labels on every form field.
- Plain language, short sentences and a logical page order.
- Images get descriptive text so screen readers can follow along.
- Videos need captions, and audio needs a transcript. Tell us what you plan to post.
- Large tap targets that work on a phone.
- Easy-read summaries of key pages if your community asks for them.
We can also add a note about how to request information in another format. Our nonprofit website checklist covers the basics.
What is included free, and what Website Care covers
The build is free. It is the same build as our Launch Website, which normally costs $399 one-time. It covers up to 5 pages, a design made for you, words drafted from a consultation, mobile-friendly pages and 10 revision rounds.
The one cost is Website Care at $30/month. It covers hosting, the HTTPS padlock, backups, weekly checks, A/B testing and small edits. Updates to service hours, intake steps and event access notes are small edits, so they are covered. Recurring plans can be canceled anytime. If your group needs more than 5 pages, we quote it before any work starts.

Tell us about your group. A real person reviews it and gets back to you, usually within one business day.
How people find you on Google and in AI assistants
Every site we build has SEO built in: clear page titles and descriptions, headings that match what people search, structured data (schema) so Google and AI assistants understand your group, an XML sitemap and fast mobile pages. Your address or service area and hours are written the same way everywhere.
We write your headings around real questions, such as "where can my adult son get day program services" or "disability advocate near me". Each service gets its own clear section with the area you serve.
AI assistants like ChatGPT pull from sites that state facts plainly, so clear service descriptions and a consistent service area help them describe you accurately. We do not promise rankings or traffic. We make sure the basics are right so you can be found. Read more on our SEO page. A monthly SEO add-on from $50/month adds new pages each month, but it is never required.
Must-haves and pitfalls
- Avoid collecting medical or diagnosis details through the website. Keep forms short.
- Do not post photos of clients or children without written consent.
- Use respectful, person-first or identity-first wording based on your community's preference.
- Do not bury eligibility rules in a PDF. Put them on the page.
- Always list a second way to reach you besides a web form.
If you also run recreation or social programs, see how community centers present their calendars, or read the page for senior centers if you serve older adults.
How to get started
Getting started takes a few short steps. This is part of our free nonprofit websites program.
- Fill in the short form on this page with your group name and what you do.
- A real person reviews it and confirms you are a nonprofit or community group. You do not need to be registered to qualify.
- We hold a consultation so we can hear how your people describe you.
- We write the draft pages and send them to you.
- You review it, ask for changes (you get 10 revision rounds), and we launch.
Eligible small projects can launch in as little as 48 hours. We speak English and Spanish (se habla espanol).
