A CrossFit box site launches well once the on-ramp program is written as a sequence a nervous beginner can follow: how many sessions, what each covers and what to wear. That page decides whether someone books an intro or keeps scrolling. Add a current class schedule, coach bios and photos from your own floor, and the site is ready to build.
How the launch unfolds
Day 1-2: You send the on-ramp outline, schedule and memberships, and we plan a home page that leads with "start here" for beginners and the schedule for everyone else.
Week 1: We write the on-ramp and coaches pages in a welcoming tone, translating terms like WOD, AMRAP and scaling for people who have never walked into a box.
Week 2: We connect the intro booking and drop-in links and you test them on a phone, checking that each button lands on the right class type.
Launch: We publish after your review; a 48-hour launch is possible for eligible projects with content ready.
What to gather before you start
- ✓On-ramp outline — the number of foundations sessions, the movements covered and when a newcomer joins regular classes
- ✓Class schedule — WOD times, open gym, barbell or endurance classes and holiday hours, kept in one place
- ✓Membership and drop-in rules — unlimited, limited and punch-card options, plus what visiting athletes need to do before a drop-in
- ✓Coach bios — credentials as your coaches hold them, what each loves to coach and a real photo
- ✓Box photos — rigs, rowers, chalk-dusted classes and community events, taken with members’ consent
The first month after launch
In the first month, add photos from real classes and events, with consent, and replace any placeholders. Before January and ahead of the Open, put your on-ramp dates and any community events near the top of the home page. Update the schedule whenever times change, and gather feedback from members through the channels you already use. When a coach leaves or joins, update the coaches page right away so newcomers meet the people actually running class.
Mistakes to avoid at launch
- ✓Assuming visitors know the lingo — beginners decide the gym is not for them and never book an intro
- ✓Skipping coach bios — the box seems anonymous and the community you built stays invisible
- ✓Forgetting holiday schedule changes — someone drives over for a canceled class and does not come back
