A customer with a dead battery in a parking garage does not care how elegant your page is; they want to know whether you can come today. A customer with a worrying noise wants to know if you can look at it this week. Both are served by a page that asks a few useful questions and returns a clear answer quickly.
Ask for what changes the job
Make, model and year decide which parts and tools you carry. The symptom, in the customer’s own words, decides what you bring and how long to allot. Location tells you whether the job is possible in a driveway or needs a different setup.
A short list of common jobs, such as brakes, battery, oil service and starter replacement, lets customers tick what they need. Add an "other, describe it" option so odd requests still reach you.
Fields for the request
- ✓Vehicle year, make and model — ahead of any parts check
- ✓What is happening — described in the customer’s own words
- ✓Where the car is — address, with parking or access notes
- ✓Urgency — today, this week or just scheduling maintenance
Route first, calendar second
Unlike a shop, you plan around travel. A calendar that offers every hour of every day will make you sprint across town. Define the windows you take new jobs and the areas you cover on certain days, and let the page show only those.
For repeat work like oil changes, a recurring reminder or a simple rebook link brings customers back without extra effort from you.
What we set up
- ✓Request form — short, mobile friendly, with photo upload
- ✓Service list — common jobs and what you do not take
- ✓Area page — neighborhoods and days you cover
- ✓Booking calendar — optional, for scheduled maintenance
Weather and demand
Winter cold snaps bring dead batteries and summer heat brings cooling problems. A seasonal line on the home page, such as which jobs you can usually handle same day, speaks to the exact situation people are in.
What to expect, honestly
- ✓We do not quote repairs on the site — you confirm cost after hearing details
- ✓Some jobs need a shop — say so on the page
- ✓Provider fees are separate — payment and booking tools charge their own rates
