A salon books one chair. A mobile groomer books a route. Whether you can take a client on Tuesday depends on where Tuesday’s other stops are. A booking page that shows only a generic calendar leads to awkward back-and-forth about whether you come to a certain neighborhood. Show the area and the days, and most of those messages vanish.
Let the area decide the day
Many mobile groomers run the week by zone: the north side on Mondays and Tuesdays, the lakefront on Thursdays. The page can reflect that. A customer enters their zip code or picks a neighborhood and sees only the days you are actually there.
This keeps drive time sensible and stops requests from outside your range. If someone is just beyond your area, a note and a request form lets you decide case by case.
Settings that make a route work
- ✓Service area list — towns or zip codes you cover
- ✓Days by zone — the days each area is open for booking
- ✓Service durations — by size of dog and type of groom
- ✓Gap time — travel and van setup between stops
Details a groomer needs before arriving
A small intake step saves a wasted trip. Ask for the dog’s size, coat, age, any health or behavior notes and whether there is a parking spot or an outlet. Matted coats and nervous dogs need more time, and knowing in advance lets you set the slot properly.
Photos of the van and the setup tell worried owners that their pet will be in a clean, safe space. That reassurance often matters more than the price.
What we need from you
- ✓Service list and times — sizes, add-ons and typical durations
- ✓Service zones — a rough map in words is enough
- ✓Van photos — inside and outside, with your pets at ease
- ✓Booking tool — existing, or Square set up for scheduling
Shedding seasons and holidays
Spring shed and the weeks before the holidays pack the calendar. Putting a note on the booking page about how far ahead you are booked, and offering a regular recurring slot, helps you fill future weeks.
What to expect, honestly
- ✓We cannot calculate drive time for you — you decide what a workable route looks like
- ✓Recurring bookings depend on your tool — we configure what it supports
- ✓Provider fees are separate — payment tools set their own rates
