A father types "karate near me" while his seven-year-old kicks the couch. He wants three things: what age groups you teach, what time Tuesday class meets and whether his son can try one before paying. A site built around those three answers wins more first visits than one built around the history of your style.
Programs first, then times
We split the site by who the class is for. Little ones, kids, teens and adults each get a short section with the focus of the program, what a class looks like and what a student works toward. Name your style or styles plainly, and describe belt or rank progress only as your school actually runs it.
The schedule then ties back to those programs, so a parent who has chosen Kids Level 1 sees only the times that belong to it.
What the trial class page includes
- ✓Who can try — ages and experience, plus any limits
- ✓What it costs — free, discounted or standard, as you decide
- ✓What to wear and bring — uniform expectations for a first class
- ✓How long it runs — so families can plan the evening
- ✓How to book — the form or tool that holds the spot
Instructors and teaching style
Parents are choosing a person to teach their child discipline and respect. A short instructor section with a real photo, years teaching, the lineage or school you belong to and a line about how you work with beginners goes a long way. State affiliations only if they are accurate.
For adult programs, mention whether sparring is optional and how new students are paced.
Make the busiest weeks easy
- ✓Back-to-school banner — new student offers on the home page
- ✓New Year banner — beginner start dates
- ✓Belt testing dates — posted on a events page
- ✓Holiday closures — updated in time
- ✓Camps and workshops — listed as short entries
Keep it simple behind the scenes
Most studios already track students in a management tool. We keep the website as the front door: timetable, trial class and contact. The two systems meet at a button, not at a complicated integration.
What to expect, honestly
- ✓No student management — records, billing and ranks stay in your system
- ✓No results promises — we avoid claims about discipline or confidence
- ✓Timetable changes are hand-posted — unless a feed is tested
