Registration opens at nine on a Monday and the popular Saturday morning slots are gone by lunch. Parents are not confused about wanting lessons; they are confused about which level their child is. A level guide that describes skills in plain language lets them register once, correctly, and saves you the emails that follow a wrong placement.
Describe the levels by what a swimmer can do
Instead of numbered levels with no explanation, give each one a sentence a parent can check against what they have seen at the pool: comfortable putting their face in the water, floating on their back, swimming a length with breathing. Add the age range and the ratio of students to instructors where you want to state it.
If a placement swim is part of joining, say how it works and how long it takes.
What the session schedule should show
- ✓Session dates — start and end with any skipped weeks
- ✓Class day and time — by level, in text
- ✓Pool location — if you teach at more than one site
- ✓Spots remaining or full — updated when you can
- ✓Make-up policy — in your own words
Safety belongs near the top
Parents ask about safety before they ask about price. A short section can state what you require for each class, such as a parent in the water for infants, how instructors are trained as you describe it, and your rules for the pool deck. Only include statements you can stand behind and that fit your own policies.
We help with the wording so it is calm and specific, not boastful.
What to send us
- ✓Level descriptions — from your existing handout
- ✓The session calendar — for the next term
- ✓Pool rules and policies — whatever you already post
- ✓Instructor first names or bios — with photos if you have them
When classes are full
A full class with no explanation loses a family. We add a waitlist or interest note on any filled level, so the visitor knows what to do. The waitlist itself runs in the tool you already use, or through a short form that reaches you.
What to expect, honestly
- ✓Registration is in your tool — we link to it
- ✓No payment handling — fees go through your provider
- ✓No water-safety instruction — we only publish what you provide
