Someone considering a weekend retreat is usually doing a small amount of private research at night. They want to know what the days look like, what the food is, whether they will share a room and what happens if life gets in the way. A retreat website that answers these in order treats that person with respect, and it does the selling for you.
Show the day, not just the theme
A retreat page often says what the retreat is about but not what a Tuesday feels like. Include a plain day-by-day schedule: wake-up, sessions, meals, free time. People new to retreats are the ones who need this most, and they are often the ones who fill the last spots.
We link or embed the booking tool you already use for reservations and deposits. The page should state the deposit, the balance due date and the cancellation terms before the button, as plain sentences.
What a retreat page lists
- ✓Dates and arrival time — with departure time on the last day
- ✓Location and travel — nearest airport or town and how people arrive
- ✓Room types — shared, private or tent, with availability
- ✓Meals and dietary notes — what is served and what you can accommodate
- ✓Who it is for — beginners welcome, or experience needed
Handling questions that hold people back
Many hesitations are not about price. They are about being alone, about fitness, about screen-free rules or about a health condition. Write short, kind answers. State what the retreat asks of participants without giving medical advice, and suggest they consult their own practitioner if they have concerns.
A short FAQ and a contact form for questions keep people from drifting away. Respond within a day or two and say so on the form.
Pages to build
- ✓Upcoming retreats — calendar with a reserve button
- ✓Retreat detail — itinerary, inclusions and rooms
- ✓About the host — who leads and why
- ✓Practical info — packing, travel and policies
- ✓Contact — a short form for questions
What to expect, honestly
- ✓Deposits and balances run on your booking tool — its fees apply
- ✓Health guidance is not ours to give — the page states what you offer
- ✓Availability is updated by you — or by your tool
