Swim lessons are one of the few things parents rush to book, and sessions fill in days. Scrolling through a PDF schedule on a small screen to figure out which level their child belongs in is how a swim school loses the family to the one with a clearer page.
A level guide before a schedule
Parents rarely know whether their child is a "Level 2" or a "Stage 3". Put a short plain-language guide above the schedule: comfortable putting their face in the water, floats on back, swims twenty-five yards. Each level should be described by what the child can do, not by your internal code.
Once a parent finds the level, the schedule beneath it should show day, time, session length and the instructor-to-swimmer ratio, because that is the second question.
What each session listing needs
- ✓Level and age band — described by skills
- ✓Days, times and length — and number of weeks
- ✓Class size — how many swimmers per instructor
- ✓Spots remaining
- ✓Register button — to your provider
How registration is set up
We link or embed your registration tool. Parents pick the session, enter the child’s details and pay there. The provider holds the list of swimmers, and you export it for deck staff. Provider and processor fees are theirs; we help you compare before you commit.
If you run private lessons separately, keep them on their own short page with a contact form, because they are booked by conversation, not by session.
Before registration opens
- ✓Update the schedule — with new dates and instructor notes
- ✓Check the level guide — against what you actually teach
- ✓Set close dates — so you can staff the pool
- ✓Refresh the safety page — with current staff certifications you hold
Full classes and missed lessons
Add a waitlist button the day a class fills, and say how long families usually wait for a call. Parents are patient when they know the process and impatient when the page just says "full".
State your make-up policy in one line. Pools close for weather, illness and maintenance, and a sentence on how closures are communicated is worth more than a paragraph of policy.
What to expect, honestly
- ✓We do not run attendance — deck check-in stays in your tool
- ✓Child photos require consent — you decide which to publish
- ✓Safety wording is yours — we format it, we do not write standards for you
