Think about how someone looks up a restaurant: standing outside, on a mobile device, one thumb. If your menu is a scanned photo, they zoom, scroll sideways and give up. A menu written as real page text fits the screen and reads at once.
Why a PDF or photo menu hurts
A PDF has to download and open in another viewer. A photo of a menu is just pixels; search engines cannot read the dishes, and a screen reader hears nothing. When your menu is text on the page, the dish names and descriptions are part of your website, which is what lets a search for a dish sometimes lead to you.
Text also changes easily. Updating a price means editing a line, not redrawing a flyer and exporting a new file.
How we lay out the menu
- ✓Sections that match your menu — starters, mains, drinks, desserts
- ✓Dish names with short descriptions — so newcomers know what they are ordering
- ✓Prices in a clean column — easy to scan with a thumb
- ✓Dietary notes — vegetarian, gluten-free or spicy, only where accurate
- ✓A jump menu — tap a section name to skip to it
Accuracy stays in your hands
We format what you send us. You are responsible for prices, ingredients and any allergy information, so please check the final text carefully before launch. If an ingredient list matters for safety, we suggest a line that tells guests to ask their server.
You may still want a PDF for a printed takeout copy. We can offer it as a secondary download while the main menu stays on the page.
What to send us
- ✓Your current menu — a photo or a file is fine, we will type it
- ✓Any specials that change often — so we plan a simple spot
- ✓Dietary labels you want shown — and the wording you prefer
- ✓Your ordering or reservation link — so the menu leads somewhere
What to expect, honestly
- ✓We do not verify allergen details — you confirm ingredient information
- ✓Prices do not sync with a POS — updates are manual
- ✓We do not claim compliance for accessibility — text simply reads better for more people
