Truck sites age quickly: old menus, a closed location, a catering form that still sends to an old email. A redesign is a good moment to clear that out. Just do it in an order that does not lose the pages and links your customers already rely on.
Look at what people use
Ask regulars and catering clients what they check on the site. The answer is nearly always the menu, the schedule and how to book. Those three pages get the most care and, where possible, keep the same web address.
Open the current site on a small screen and note what is wrong. Slow images, tiny text, a menu saved as an image, a schedule from last season.
Keep, fix, drop
- ✓Keep — the menu page address, your photos that still look good, any catering page that gets requests
- ✓Fix — menu as text, current schedule, readable buttons, a short catering form
- ✓Drop — expired specials, closed spots, event pages from past seasons
- ✓Add — a short note on how orders work and how to reach you for events
Check what points to your old pages
Your old addresses may be printed on stickers, menus, truck wraps and business cards. Make a list. Any address that changes should forward to the new one so those old prints still work. We map and test this before the switch.
Check outside listings too: delivery apps, event organizers and your social profiles often link to a specific old page.
Test before and after
- ✓Send a catering test request — confirm it reaches the inbox you check
- ✓Click the QR code on your truck — if you have one, make sure it lands on the right page
- ✓Compare menus — the site, your window board and any app should agree
- ✓Read it on a small screen — outdoors, in sunlight, as a customer would
What to expect, honestly
- ✓No live tracker — we build a simple schedule that you keep current
- ✓We rebuild on our hosting — we do not edit inside your old builder
- ✓No promises on traffic or sales — a redesign cannot guarantee either
