Many customers prefer to read about a service in Spanish, especially when it involves money, health or their home. A half-translated site, or one that runs through an automatic converter, loses them quickly. A true bilingual site has every important page in both languages.
How a bilingual site works
Each page exists twice: an English version and a Spanish version, with their own addresses. A visible language switcher on every page takes the visitor to the matching page in the other language, not back to the homepage.
Behind the scenes we add language tags so search engines know which version to show to which reader. That keeps the two versions from competing and helps people find the one in their language.
What is translated
- ✓Main pages — home, services, about and contact
- ✓Forms and buttons — so nobody hits an English-only form
- ✓Page titles and descriptions — the text that appears in results
- ✓Confirmation messages — the thank-you after a submission
Written and reviewed by people
Machine translation reads stiff and sometimes says something you did not mean. We write Spanish for a local audience and have a human review it. We will also ask you to read through the Spanish, since you know your customers best.
Tell us which Spanish your customers use. Wording varies between regions and communities, and a few word choices can make the page feel like it was written for them.
What to prepare
- ✓Your priority pages — which ones must be bilingual first
- ✓Regional preferences — the community you serve
- ✓Terms you use — names of services your customers already say
- ✓A reviewer — someone who reads the Spanish before launch
What to expect, honestly
- ✓No every-page promise on small plans — translated pages count toward your plan
- ✓No automatic sync — later edits are made in both languages
- ✓No legal translations — formal documents need a qualified translator
