A parent searching for a Saturday painting class for an eight-year-old is scanning for three things: is it for her child’s age, does it fit the weekend, and can she register right now. If your class list is one long paragraph or a social post, she picks a studio that answered all three.
Organize by age first, then by day
Art classes are chosen by age band before anything else. Group listings under headings such as "Ages 5 to 7", "Ages 8 to 11" and "Teens and adults", then show day, time and session length under each.
One-off events, such as a paint-and-sip night or a birthday workshop, deserve their own short section so term-long students are not confused by what is a single evening.
What every class listing needs
- ✓Age range — stated as a range, not "kids"
- ✓Day, time and number of weeks — so parents can plan carpool
- ✓What is included — materials, aprons and a take-home piece
- ✓Seats left — updated as the class fills
- ✓Register button — opening your sign-up provider
What we set up and what you supply
We build the classes page, link or embed your registration tool and help you write the descriptions. You supply the schedule, class sizes and the costs as you set them. We never invent pricing or availability.
Provider and processor fees belong to the tool you choose. If you are comparing options, we will walk you through what each one charges the studio versus the parent.
Before each term opens
- ✓Write the new schedule — one page, updated the same day
- ✓Recheck the supply list — parents notice outdated items
- ✓Set the registration close date — so you can order materials
- ✓Replace last term’s photos — with finished pieces from the current class
Waitlists, makeup classes and sick days
Classes fill in the first week of registration. When a session is full, say so on the listing and offer a waitlist button, because parents often decide on the next opening rather than the first.
Add one sentence about missed sessions. "We offer one makeup in the same term when seats allow" saves dozens of questions per term, and it is better on the page than in an email thread.
What to expect, honestly
- ✓We do not manage rosters — attendance and pickup lists stay in your tool
- ✓Student galleries need permission — you decide what to show and with whose consent
- ✓We do not build parent accounts — families register through your provider
