A bagel shop’s day starts before most other businesses and the first customers are in a hurry. They search for the hours, perhaps for whether you have a certain spread, and then they decide. The page that gives them hours and an order link in the first screen is the one that sees them in person.
The morning visitor needs three facts
Open or closed right now, where to park and how to order. Those three should be visible without scrolling. We put the hours in text at the top and link to your ordering tool for a quick pickup order, so someone on the way to work can have a bag waiting.
Below, the menu is organized the way people actually order: bagels by the piece and dozen, spreads by the tub, then sandwiches and coffee. A visitor can scan it in the time it takes the light to change.
Menu sections that work well
- ✓Bagel varieties — with the best sellers marked
- ✓Spreads and toppings — cream cheese flavors, lox, and sides
- ✓Breakfast sandwiches — with the sizes and add-ons
- ✓Drinks and extras — coffee, juice and baked goods
Trays, dozens and weekend orders
Office managers and hosts want a tray, not a dozen. A dedicated page for bagel trays, spreads and platters, with a request form for date and headcount, brings in orders that would otherwise never reach you.
Many shops need a day’s notice for trays. State it. Also state whether weekend pre-orders are taken and when the cutoff is. Provider fees for any ordering tool are charged by that provider.
What to gather
- ✓Your hours, including weekends and holidays
- ✓Your tray and dozen options — sizes and what is included
- ✓Your order link — from the tool you use
- ✓Notes about pickup — parking, curbside or counter
What to expect, honestly
- ✓We do not process your orders — the button opens your tool
- ✓We do not update hours from your register — you or we change them
- ✓We do not guarantee same-day trays — you set your own lead time
