A candy shop wins on color. A shelf of jars, a wall of chocolate, rows of retro favorites. A website has to carry some of that feeling, and also do the practical job of taking an order for a gift box a week before a holiday. Both jobs start with good photos and a clear page structure.
Group the sweets the way people shop
Visitors do not search for "candy". They search for chocolate, for sour candy, for a retro sweet from their childhood, or for something for a teacher. We organize the shop page by those categories, with a photo per category and a few featured items, instead of one very long list.
Bulk candy sold by the pound is a special case. We describe it and encourage a visit, because it is rarely ordered ahead.
Sections that bring in bigger orders
- ✓Gift boxes — sizes, what is inside and the occasion
- ✓Corporate and wedding favors — quantities and lead times
- ✓Party and event packages — candy buffets, goodie bags
- ✓Seasonal collections — Halloween, Valentine’s Day, Easter, December
Holiday weeks need planning
Four seasons drive most of a candy shop’s year, and each has an order cutoff. If you ship, say the last day to order for delivery before the holiday. If you offer pickup only, say so clearly, along with when the shop is closed.
The order link goes to the tool you already use, or a request form for custom boxes and favors. Fees from any payment or shipping provider belong to that provider, and your inventory is not synced with the website.
What to bring
- ✓Photos with strong color — shelves, boxes and close-ups
- ✓Your gift box list — sizes and what is inside
- ✓Your seasonal calendar — key dates and cutoffs
- ✓Holiday hours
What to expect, honestly
- ✓We do not manage shipping — you or your provider handle it
- ✓We do not sync inventory — stock notes are manual
- ✓We do not process orders on our site — your tool does
