A CSA runs on two moments: the weeks when members commit, and every week after when they pick up a box and sometimes want an extra dozen eggs. Online ordering for a CSA has to handle both, and the first one matters most. A hesitant visitor in February needs to see exactly what a share is, what it costs you to run and when to decide.
Two kinds of ordering, two kinds of page
Sign-up is a one-time decision with a deadline, so it deserves a dedicated page with the share sizes side by side, the season dates, the pickup sites and a single button. Add-on ordering is weekly and fast, so it lives behind a smaller link that members bookmark.
We connect both to the ordering or membership tool you already use. We do not build member accounts or a private area, so anything that needs a member to sign in happens inside your tool, and our page simply sends them there cleanly.
What the share page has to say
- ✓Share sizes — full, half or an every-other-week option, described by who they feed
- ✓Season length — first and last pickup dates in plain calendar terms
- ✓Pickup sites and times — the farm, a market or a church lot, each with its window
- ✓Skip and vacation rules — how a missed week is handled
- ✓Sign-up deadline — shown at the top, not in the fine print
The first-timer problem
People new to a CSA worry that they will be buried in kale. A short sample-box page answers that more effectively than any promise, so we build one from photos and a weekly list you supply, written as "a typical June week" and "a typical September week." You can name the crops without turning it into a guarantee, because what is in the box depends on the season.
Add a short note on what to do with unfamiliar vegetables and the page gives a doubtful shopper a reason to try.
Your weekly routine once it is live
- ✓Open the add-on list — update availability before the order window opens
- ✓Check the pickup note — weather or site changes go in one banner
- ✓Review new sign-ups — in your ordering tool, where member details live
- ✓Post the first-box date — a short line members can find easily
What to expect, honestly
- ✓Member accounts live in your own tool — our site links to it
- ✓Weekly boxes are not auto-built from the site — you set contents
- ✓Payment processing fees belong to the provider — not to us
