Most visits to an ice cream shop’s website are short. Someone is in the car, a child in the back is asking, and they type the shop’s name to see if it is open. The site that answers in one screen gets the visit. Everything else, the cakes, pints and party packages, can wait for the visitor who wants more.
The front page for people on their way
The top of the page shows today’s hours in plain text, the address with a link to directions and the flavors currently in the case. That is it. No slideshow, no intro video. A busy parent should be able to read it in the time it takes the light to change.
Below that, we place the pieces that bring in extra orders: pints to take home, ice cream cakes and party bookings. Each has its own short section and a way to ask.
The sections that earn their space
- ✓Flavors and the menu — easy for you to refresh each week
- ✓Pints and take-home orders — with a pickup note
- ✓Cakes and custom orders — lead time and sizes
- ✓Parties and events — group size and available times
Seasons, holidays and honest updates
A shop that is open in June but closed in January needs a hours banner that actually changes. A page showing summer hours in the winter loses families who drive over. We set up a simple way for you to tell us when hours change, and we update the banner.
For orders, the site links to the tool you already use for pickup or pre-orders, or a request form for cakes. Provider fees belong to that provider, and your register is not synced with the website, so flavor lists are updated by hand.
Send us these
- ✓Your flavor list — with notes on dairy-free or vegan options
- ✓Your seasonal hours
- ✓Cake and pint details — sizes and notice needed
- ✓Party packages — what is included and how to book
What to expect, honestly
- ✓We do not show live flavor stock — the list is updated by hand
- ✓We do not process orders on our site — your tool does
- ✓We cannot predict your seasons — you tell us when hours change
