Small businesses win on trust. When a customer is about to let someone into their home, their mouth or their accounts, they want to know who it is. A team page answers that question before they ever pick up a form.
What a good profile contains
A friendly photo, a name, a role and three or four sentences. That is usually enough. Say what the person does for customers, how long they have been doing it and one detail that makes them human, such as a hobby or what they like about the work.
Avoid long career histories. A visitor scanning on a small screen wants the person, not the resume.
Elements per profile
- ✓Clear photo — same style across the team, natural light if possible
- ✓Name and role — spelled exactly how they want it
- ✓Short bio — a few sentences in plain language
- ✓Credentials they hold — only those the person can document
Verification and consent
Every credential you list needs to be accurate. We write only what you tell us and ask you to confirm it, because a wrong title or a claim of a credential someone does not hold can cause real trouble. Each person on the page should also be comfortable being there.
Some people prefer not to post a photo or full name. We can use a first name and a role, or leave someone off the page altogether. Keep the tone consistent across the page, so a plumber and an office manager read like people on the same team. Read each bio aloud once before sending it; if it sounds stiff, shorten it.
What to collect
- ✓Photos of each person — or a plan for a photo session
- ✓Bio notes — a few lines from each person
- ✓Credentials to verify — with the exact wording
- ✓Order of listing — owner first, or by role
What to expect, honestly
- ✓No credential checks — you confirm every title and credential
- ✓No staff accounts — the page is public information only
- ✓No photography included — bring your own photos
