A CSA website is a seasonal tool, so its price reflects how many share types and pickup sites you manage rather than how fancy it looks. A farm with one share size and one pickup day needs far less than a program with several boxes, add-ons and delivery routes.
The price at a glance
Most CSA programs fit Business Plus: $989 one-time for up to 20 pages, plus Website Care at $30/month for hosting, HTTPS, backups, weekly performance checks, A/B testing and up to 30 minutes of small edits each month. A typical CSA program site covers Home with sign-up button, Shares and pickup, What is in a box, FAQ and About the farm.
What changes the price for a CSA program
- ✓Share types and sizes — Full, half, vegetable-only or egg and flower add-ons each need clear descriptions, and the more choices you offer, the more careful the layout must be.
- ✓Pickup sites and days — Every farm stand, market or drop site needs its own time and address, and visitors must see which one is closest.
- ✓Sign-up method — A form that collects details, a link to a payment tool or a downloadable form changes how the main button is set up and tested.
- ✓Sample box and seasonal content — Showing what a typical week looks like requires photos and notes that you refresh as the season changes.
What keeps you in the smaller plan
A small CSA can stay in the smaller package by showing one or two share options, a single pickup plan and a short sample box. Use a sign-up button that goes to the tool you already use, and keep the FAQ to the five questions you answer most. Seasonal updates can be limited to a line about the current harvest.
Costs that sit outside the website
- ✓Payment and subscription tool — Many farms collect share payments through an outside service with its own fees, and we connect the one you prefer.
- ✓Photography — Good field and box photos sell shares, and they are usually taken by you or a friend during the growing season.
- ✓Email list service — Weekly newsletters to members run through a separate mailing tool with its own plan.
- ✓Domain and email — A farm name as the web address and a matching email for member questions are worth setting up before sign-ups open.
When it makes sense to step up
Move up when you offer many share types, run several pickup locations, or sell add-ons such as eggs, flowers and bread. A long FAQ covering travel, missed pickups and work-share options, along with weekly harvest notes, also makes the bigger package worthwhile.
