A buyer shopping for shipping boxes asks three questions before anything else: what sizes, what material and how many do I have to buy. Packaging sites that make them dig for those answers lose them to those that do not. Put minimums on the page and nobody has to ask.
Stock first, custom second
Most visitors want an item that already exists. List stock products by type, then by dimensions, with material, strength rating from the manufacturer and pack quantity. A size filter in plain text, "under 12 inches", "12 to 24", helps people jump to their range.
Custom packaging gets its own section, since the question is different: what is the product, what size, what print and how many. Describe the first steps, from dieline to sample, so a new buyer sees a path.
Information each product needs
- ✓Inside dimensions — length, width, height
- ✓Material and construction — corrugated, kraft, poly
- ✓Pack quantity and minimum order
- ✓Print options — plain, one-color, full color
- ✓Request quote — with the product pre-selected
Samples and quotes
Packaging is a fit-and-feel purchase. A sample request option, handled by your team, shortens the decision. The website collects the request: name, company, product and shipping address. Pricing remains a quote, because it moves with volume and material.
We do not provide an ordering system or inventory sync. The site is the shop window; the order desk is yours.
Questions to answer on-site
- ✓What is the minimum — for stock and for custom
- ✓How long do samples take
- ✓Which industries do you serve — food, retail, shipping
- ✓How is artwork submitted
Holiday volume
Orders ramp for the fall holidays, and buyers plan weeks ahead. A short section about lead times for custom and stock orders helps them plan and prevents panic emails in October.
What to expect, honestly
- ✓No online ordering or live inventory — quotes and orders happen with your team
- ✓Custom design is yours — we can show examples, not create dielines
- ✓Sustainability claims need support — we only publish what you can document
